Ok, I am completely uneducated when it comes to clutches and whatnot so I'll try to explain this as best I can. I first bought my 93 Fastback with a soft clutch to begin with and have had it for about half a year or so. Over that time leading up to now the clutch has gotten EXTREMELY light; its almost like there is no resistance in it and the transfer point changes from being high up to very low. Now just in the past few days when I wake up and get ready to go somewhere after the car has been sitting for a long time I cannot move the stick into gear. I can put it into reverse barely by mashing the stick and it grinds like hell. After I let the car warm up for about a minute I can barely move it into first and get it down the street to where it warms up. After driving for about 5 minutes it seems fine but the clutch is still ultra light. So after warming up it shifts fine but repeats it's viscous cycle all over again the next day.

It actually doesn't sound like the clutch at all. Check the clutch fluid level. It sounds low.

How do I check that? I really need a quick answer, I need to get to school and the clutch is on the floor someone help me quick!

EDIT: Never mind I got it fixed, I put some DOT 3 Brake Fluid into the Clutch Master Cylinder and it solved the problem for now. Now I just have to wait it out a couple weeks and make sure it doesn't leak. Thans for your guy's help.

Ok now that everything is fine the problem started over again, I found out I needed to bleed the clutch master and slave cylinders and reapply the brake fluid. So I had a professional mechanic do that and when I got the car back the friction point is almost impossible to drive. It’s at the very top of the throw; I mean the instant you step on the clutch. Before it was nice and comfortable down low. For example...

(FLOOR BOARD)-----------------------------------------------------(TOP Of PEDAL)Before --------(FRICTION POINT)----------------------------------------------After -----------------------------------------------------(FRICTION POINT)

Is this right? The mechanic told me that it was, is he right? Are your cars like this?

Heh. Yeah that's actually where the action is normally supposed to be. I promise you'll get used to it after a while.

Really? I like it better when it's closer to the floor, maybe it's because no matter what I always push the clutch to the floor. All my friends' Hondas have their friction points waaay up there. At least on the new SI and the ITR. ::shrug::
