pilot bearing, release bearing, clutch, pressure plate, alignment tool, really long impact wrench extension, universal joint, impact wrench, compressor, sockets (metric), torque wrench, regular socket wrench, gear oil (manual) or ATF (auto), a friend (pref. a big guy), and patience. Oh yeah and resurface your flywheel through a machine shop or get a replacement if out of spec.

you know now that i think of it, you might wanna replace the rear main oil seal while you are in there. Its not too tough and if you got any mechanical inclination at all (which i assume you do) it will not add any real time onto the project and might save you a bunch of trouble down the road.

Hmm definitely change the clutch pilot bushing & check/replace rear main seal if u get that flywheel off... my kit didn't come w/ 1 so I had to order seperately <pilot B>

to add, check your sensors on the transmission & clean seal em off w/ teflon on the threads

I clean out the housing where the clutch system sits in...check the pivot ball where the fork rides on & grease it up a bit...

check seals on the inner & tailshaft ends of the transmission...

I couldn't get my friggin flywheel off since i have no air impact tools :( I was lucky, though... surface was decent enough to just use sandpaper on the flywheel to "deglaze" the surface.

Hmm, guys how are those cordless electric impact tools? i was looking @ a cheapo chicago 24V impact wrench #90834-1UYC from http://www.harborfreight.com for only $79.99

soo the next time i need an impact wrench for my future clutch replacement/rear main seal, crankseal R&R, etc... i'd have some powa!

A good tool: a buddy who has done this B4 to help u out in person...

refinishing is one of those steps that ensure that your new clutch will last as long as the last one did. Just poping in a new clutch without resurfacing is like changing your brake pads and not grinding your rotors. Because your pads, or your clutch in this case, will wear away much faster due to the uneven surface.I really hope you plan to do it the right way. It will pay off in the future.

A note of warning about sensors and teflon tape...

IF the sensor is grounded through its body and you use a lot of tape, the sensor may not be grounded correctly. Things like this can be a huge pain to diagnose. I suggest you leave the plumbers tape to plumbers and buy a good liquid thread sealer. Loctite makes many varieties.
