Hello All,

Well its time for a new clutch and was wondering if any of you experts have any recomendations. I dont plan on doing any major engine mods in addition to what i already have except mabey an ecu upgrade.
My car: 1990 z32 tt w/ 106,000 miles
Mods: Intake, HKS Turbo Exhaust, underdrive pulley.
Just want a nice smooth shifting clucth.

Thanks

OEM is smooth...do you want something a little more performance oriented? (less smooth?)

Would an oem clucth be o.k with the mods I have. Im not sure what kind of clutch is in the car now all i was told is that it is a "heavy duty clutch"

yeah you should be fine, if your running 14 PSI an OEM clutch wont slip.... you usually only need to upgrade if you are pushing more than the stock HP levels....now if u have upgrades comming up down the road and you'll need a heavier duty clutch i would suggest getting one now

on my TT im running 14 PSI and i have a Z1 ECU, Megan racing DP's, Test pipes Greddy Evo 2 Cat-back and a pop charger and i still use the OEM clutch and it doesnt slip

Aftermarket clutches are so expensive. But lots of people suggest Southbend - supposedly one of the best clutch companies for this car. Should be able to find one of their clutches to suit your need for a "slightly more performance" clutch.

Would you go with a lightweight flywheel as well.

you can but the only thing youll probably notice more is your RPM's will drop faster when letting off he throttle..... what i would do is save up and get a Flywheel, Elec. Fan, 1 peice D.S., and upgraded pulleys..... so that you do all of that at once and actually feel the defference
