I have an S-14 base model 5 speed. I was driving down the high way when i noticed when I pressed in my clutch it stayed pushed in and I couldn't shift into any gear. When I came to a complete stop I turned off restarted the car and still had the same problem, but the clutch went in and out with no pressure behind it. so to get it to move I started it in first gear and got to a better destination. Please someone diagnose this problem for me so I can try to fix it myself.

Clutch master cylinder, slave or both gone bad. Look for fluid leak on the floorboard under the clutch pedal, or fluid under the rubber cover on the slave.

If both are old replace both.
