I bought a Z32 transmission, and the clutch is bad, Now I have an SR clutch and every thing matches up, but is there a concern using this SR clutch on the N/A Z32 transmission and flywheel?

I cannot find any related topics in the search section, so any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks,Matt

As long as the disk has the same dimensions (diameter and thickness) then it should be fine. You will want to compare the hub between the two to make sure one isn't set differently than the other. If they appear to match I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. Splines in the hub are likely the same so that shouldn't be a problem.

One thing to consider the clamping force of the SR pressure plate. It may be less than the Z's if both are stock which could possibly keep the SR clutch from handling the higher torque it would see with the VG. Something else to consider.

Hope that helps.

The only reason I ask is the SR clutch I have is the same as the one I have in my 380HP SR. I belive that it would hold up, but wanted to see if anyone else has done it.

If its aftermarket it probably would hold up pretty well. I don't know of anyone off hand using that particular clutch but if the dimensions are the same I see no reason it wouldn't work.

LUK lists specifications of their clutches on their website. Mainly diameter and input splines. Put in the two vehicles and see if you get interchangeable specs.
