I was wondering if anyone else picked up this clutch off of boostdesigns web site. I did and I have a shop trying to install it today and they're telling me the diameter of the throw out bearing is too large. It is a little larger than stock but it all came together so I don't understand.

Has anyone else had this problem and is it possible to get the wrong throw out bearing in an aftermarket clutch kit?

Hopefully PJ will answer this - when I try to call it says the company is going through a merger and won't be available by phone for 2 or 3 weeks.

I'm annoyed right about now and it's mostly because I think the shop is full of **** - I think the larger diameter throw out bearing is because it is StageIII and not a direct OEM replacement! Anyone?

I bought the Boostdesigns clutch and flywheel. The bearing is bigger, but I just installed it and it is fine. No problems what so ever. I really like the clutch also. It is on a NA KA until end of next month when the Phatka-t turbo stuff comes in. For the stock KA it grabs well and clutch pedal is not much harder then stock

its larger diameter but the mounting setup is the same as stock. it is a beffier throwout bearing thats the reason for the larger diameter but your install shop should have know that if there use to installing clutches as ACT and most other manufacturers use these diameters when upgrading. thanks
