clutch slips everytime i shift to 3rd

everytime i have to shift to third it grinds gears like the clutch slipped... also if i go to 3rd at under 4500 rpms the whole car shakes.... thanks in advance

How old is the clutch? is the disc getting contaminated with oil? How is the fluid level in the transmission?

well i got it from a friend like a week ago first off. and it is a rebuilt transmission with only 25000 miles. and all the fluid levels are great... im gonna check the slave cylinder cuz my friend says thats what it sounds like
