I recently bought a 1993 Nissan 240sx. Within the past two months, I went over the 200k mile mark. When my clutch pedal went spongy, I bypassed the dampener box and bled the slave. Within the past week, my clutch seems to have started slipping BADLY. I can be in 5th gear going 75mph,running 3000rpm, start to go up a hill, rpm remains at 3000, speed drops drastically. Also, when I start from a stop, my car seems to have almost no get up and go, and it can take like 30 seconds before I can hit 30mph. The rpms just slide up and the speed does next to nothing. My car used to be soo zippy! Could it be that I need to bleed my clutch again?? I can shift gears fine!

**Car is at 204K miles, clutch is original Factory.

tl;dr: I'm pretty sure my clutch is slipping badly. Should getting the clutch replaced fix this?

(Thanks guys. I'm new here and appreciate ALL the help!!)

Welcome! Sounds like slipping clutch to me. If you replace it it should be good to go. I would suggest a few maintenance things when you replace it:

1. Have the flywheel resurfaced, this will ensure a proper mating of the new clutch.

2. New throw-out bearing.

3. Replace the rear main engine oil seal. It is inevitable that about a month after you get the new clutch in the seal will go bad and oil-soak and ruin your new clutch.

Did I forget anything guys?

Also try adjusting the clutch travel under the dash above the pedal. Fixed my problem.
