clutch slipping???

hey was wondering if i have symptoms of clutch slip-age. senerio: i would be at a stop then get off first then if i start punching it, power shift into second rpms just jump and im not moving anywhere(as if the clutch didnt grab, rpms jumping like im in neutural reving the car) then shift to 3rd samething, then i stop. i can smell the clutch burning and pedal kinda high before i can get off of 1st. its an 05 6m/t with 45xxx miles. im not the original owner so i wouldnt noe how the previous owner drove the vehicle. any help thanks!!

If you can smell the clutch you're definitely toasting it against your flywheel. Go to a shop, or dealer, and get it checked. Previous owner probably didn't know how to drive a MT very well.
