I don't know if the clutch is wearing in or slipping or just me sucking. Recently replaced by my mech w/ a stock version. The main problem's only when i start from a stop. Whenever i try to start quickly, the rpms dip then rise up again, making for not-so-quick starts....Also feels like its catching higher than before...Im relatively new to a stick (can drive round normally fine, problems seem to come up when i try to be speed racer) so it could be me...any advice?

was it a brand new clutch? did you break it in without heating it up a lot?

Mechanic said it was valeo - i took it easy for about 300 miles - no redline, no burnouts, just normal driving.

clutch slipping is more of your rev's on gear going up, but your car going nowhere (while on gear and no foot on clutch pedal),

or almost like your driving on gear with your foot depressed on the clutch but not letting go of the clutch till like 2000 rpm

you will know your clutch is slipping if you gun it and your RMPs shoot up, but you don't really gain any speed. It will feel like your car weak as hell. You might also need to adjust your clutch pedal.

Yeah, I have a feeling it is due to your sucking then. When I first started driving, I was pretty bad at times, and I thought it was the car. It was just me though. Now I am one of the best drivers in the world. True story.
