My Clutch only seems to slip when i rev above 1900 or 2000 RPM and it might be slipping under 2000 but its getting some kinda grip to the ground. my clutch pedal just started to go down like less space in between where the clutch engages and disengages. i was just hoping some one could tell me if i need a new clutch or if my master cylinder is going bad or if i need to Adjust CMC rod i have done lots of searching but just not sure whats wrong Thanks for any help.I stopped driving the car as much as i can when this started to happen and its not a new clutch and i don't know when it was changed last.

slave cylinder is on the transmisson it pushes the clutch fork. Follow the hard line from the MC and you will find the slave

ive recently come across this same problem, i replaced the master cylinder, got rid of the stupid damper thingy, and bled my clutch several times. the problem ive been encountering is if i hit the gas my RPM's just go up and the car might move a little. but if i keep the rpms real low itll drive. the slave cylinder moves plenty and should be engaging the clutch fully. but the pedal has been getting stuck recently as well. ne help guys?

My cars not doing what ocalas240's is when i rev above 2000 my car moves good and even kinda fast but my tires don't spin and it seems a little slower then it use to like my clutch is slipping under 2000 my tires spin its odd. I still have the clutch damper installed was thinking of removing it to see what happens.

My friends clutch would slip when gave this one fat chick a ride home. Check your passenger seat for a fat chick, then remove her.

Heres a simple check for you.

While parked, pull the Handbrake > Put car in a high gear > Drop clutch.

If the engine keeps running then the clutch is wasted, if the car bucks and stops the clutch is gripping.

You can only do this for like a split second as the heat from a slipping clutch is like...

If you think its either your clutch master or slave cylinder try this: Pump the clutch pedal about 15-30 times (just get the fluid moving in the system.) Get all the dirt off your fingers and gently drag your fingers along the lines and feel for wet spots. I had to replace my slave cylinder because I kept losing pressure in the system.

Good luck.

well guys i was workin on the car today and i realized i made a stupid mistake of not making sure my pedal was adjusted correctly. the push rod from the master cylinder wasnt adjusted all the way extended like it should be, in turn messing up my clutch and frying it!!! well now its time to get a new clutch. i needed a stronger one anyways it slipped a bit anyways....
