OKay, so there a thousand and one threads on clutch stuff out there. Mine just started slipping, I don't know why for sure, but I think it might have had something to do with getting steamed in antifreeze before it ever ended up in the car. My question is this...I'm running a ca18det (obviously) with a Ka transmission. Is anyone else running this setup? And if so, what clutch are you using? It seems that my clutch only slips after the car has been running for a while, After about 30 minutes or so if I run her out a little, she gets pretty slippery, but when she's cold, there doesn't appear to be any issue. Is that normal? Is it normal for heat to cause clutch slippage? I've always just replaced it when I ran out of adjustment, I've never waited for it to start acting this bad before.

Anyway, I'm ordering one as soon as possible, from everything I can tell the clutches are the same, just one can handle more power, But If I get a stronger KA clutch, it's still cheaper than a stock ca clutch. Let me know as soon as possible guys, cause I'm waiting on some input before I purchase, but I wanna do it in the next day or two.

Yes, it's normal for the heat to cause it to slip.

SPEC makes CA specific clutches up to 350ft/lbs IIRC.

The KA clutches work, you just have to remember to remove the dowel pins/drill the pressure plate.

I don't really think one option is better than the other. I'm a fan of SPEC just because I've had good luck with them. BUT I also followed the break in procedure TO THE LETTER! This is important with any clutch, but maybe a bit more so with the SPEC's. That's purely speculation.
