I have a 1991 nissan 240sx and I think my clutch is going bad but im not for shur if thats what the prob is or not. I never really experienced any problems with it until i took my exhaust off. It was only off for about a day cause i was expectin my HKS Hi-power to be shipped a lil sooner. But anyways with jus the cat n no exhaust pipe when i would shift it kinda did an over rev, like if i shift to the next gear and floor it the rpms shoot up maybe to 6grand then go down to 3 and it will start to go, but the clutch is all the way out. At first it mainly did it from 4th to 5th but i can tell its gettn worse cause now it does it from 1 to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd n so on. With the HKS on it still does it I dont think its related to the exhaust being taken off but I jus thought it was weird how it never did it until then. My guess, with no mechanical background is that the clutch gears are sticking or worn out. But like I said I have no mechanical background and would like to know what is causing this. Any ideas?Pic with the HKS-hi power exhaust installed
