clutch slave cylinder

well i am currently doing a sr swap on my 90hatch. i have a question, after dropping the engine and transmission in, the clutch slave cylinder does not lean agianst the metal plate that comes out of the transmission. can anyone tell me why, and how im suppose to fix this? Thnx.

mine did it when i swapped out my clutch. however, once i bled the line and had it all back together in my car, it engaged just fine. there is a bit of excess play with the clutch pedal, but that can be taken out with adjustment to the pedal.
