Clutch Safety Ignition

My car didnt turn on todayi pushed in the clutch but the car wouldnt allow ignitionthe past few weeks, ive had to press the clutch a bit hard or press it 2-3 times till the car "realizes" that its ok to allow ignition.

now what exactly is this mechanism and how do i go about finding it/fixing it

Check the back of the clutch pedal and see if its making contact with interlock switch. Just press the clutch down and ull see what I'm talking about.

Or just override it so u don't have to press the clutch to start car anymore, like me!

how do i override it? by disconnecting the plug?

im @ work and have no access to the car, so im assuming its a plate/plug that contacts when u push the clutch in

i just tape what?

Already tried. It's not the clutch interlock switch.

I bet my money its the Relay that srpowered had problems with.

it turns out its my actual starter, not the relay, i smacked that sucker with a hammer and it turned on, but its in the bitcchest of all places man
