I'll be needing one once I get my T3/T4 rebuilt and the car is tuned... just thought it would be good to hear from the people that have (owners only please... or if you've had a fair amount of wheel time on a RB that has one) aftermarket clutches in a format:

Pros -

Cons -

Recommend (yes/no)

Look forward to seeing what people have to say!

I am. I havnt used it yet but as far as clamping force is pretty impressive. I've heard good thinks about it. They will switch out TOB for no charge from 300zx NT to TT

I have the XTD na 300zx.

I have about 1000 miles on it and I've been beating on it since 30 miles (I'm not big on breaking in a clutch unless it's a little organic type, or super expensive type).

Pros- Can burn thru 2nd gear easily, engagement isn't too harsh, pedal pressure is light

Cons- Telling people it's an XTD ebay clutch, it's not as nice and smooth as a street disk (non puck), has some chatter sometimes

If you need something that holds that much power, then it's not a bad deal, but a non-puck clutch is so much easier to drive and less chattery for street driving...but it's not that bad.

We have SPEC build our RB20 clutches specific for us to our own specs, we have one in one of our customers cars right now, this clutch burns the tires through 3rd gear, and can hit 4th whne pushing it hard, at 14 psi stock ecu. It's not an on/off clutch, so engagement isn't too harsh, the pedal has a nice firm feel, not soft, it is a performance clutch, I use the same style in my KA-T.Hit me up if you want one.

I have a 6 puck sprung hub. The pressure plate is a little heaver than stock but it's nothing crazy.

ACT street/strip. Engagement is a little harsher than stock, but got no problem with stop and go environment. Havent seen how it held up to the new turbo yet...but heard it was good for up to 400 lb torque.
