Clutch requires too much pressure, 2001 Maxima

2001 maxima 5 speed, 100,000 miles. very tough clutch. Pressure required is much much harder than a 96 maxima I had. checked fluid, OK. shifts fine, runs fine.

Something ain't right. I bought mine with 23,000 miles and it pushes like nothing. I drove my buddies WRX and I was like damn this clutch takes a lot of force to push down. I don't know what is wrong but I would definitely say my clutch moves easily and always has. I have driven nothing but stick shift Nissans my whole life and this one might be the lightest clutch of them all, definitely easier than my Nissan Hardbody.
