Alright well last night was the most frusturated I think I've ever been. Removed everthing text book. Driveshaft, starter, wires, ect... Of course once im pretty sure all the bolts are off the bell housing I start trying to pull the transmission back a couple inches to get it free and it doesnt budge... . Well this is after it took me forever to remove the three or four wire clips connected. Those were the most frusterating thing b/c the clips were basically all different and caked in some leaked transmission gunk so I couldnt see the release "button". Any way if anyone needs help on the clips just ask. Haha or maybe i was just a dumbass... Anyways its approaching 4 in the morning and I have to work at 8. Im beat and trying to budge this transmission I tried EVERYTHING even shaking it gently like recomended but minus the gently forgive me it was late. Well seeing as im a dumb a** of course this is the only car that I got that is running amd I need to get to work... Well end of story I gave up Im gonna work on it and hopefully finsh it tonight. Well I believe I probally missed a bolt or two higher up in teh housing so ill check that but I also heard putting a wood piece under the crank pully and jacking the engine up slightly helps removal is this true? Heres the quote

"put a 2x4 under the crank pulley and slowly raise the front of the engine so it is tilted back to accommodate removal. you may be able to get more angle by loosening the motor mount nuts."

Also being a noob I kinda forgot to disconnect the battery before I removed most everything . Please someone tell me thats not that big of a deal. Thanks guys for all your help and humoring me while I vent im running off very little sleep and redbulls

dude its totally flush haha im guessing its a bolt in the upper (pain in the a**) part of the housing. Does that sound correct? Even when i shake it the whole portion where it links to the engine shakes. Im sure if you have dones this before you understand my frustration.

ya man this really bites. Im checking the bolts again you might want to do the same email me if you find a solution or reply here. If you read the above posts maybe you might want to tilt the engine using the jack and wood block to get some more room to at least check for bolts in the upper housing. just a thought. Anyway carful shaking it to hard the soild cast iron tough but also very heavy.

Edit: sorry haha i think i read your post wrong but anyway Nut-Bust em all but im sure you already have done that. Other than that dont give up! there is always a way! dude if you can get to the bolt use vice grips f ing grip the hell outta it then use a rubber mallet to hit it its kind of a impact wrench effect. Anyway good luck!
