So i'm used to wrenching on BMWs and i'm not to familiar with this cas since its been under warranty till just very recently. The clutch pedal is on the floor and the dealer said the clutch has already been replaced twice before i got the car. They looked at the car and said it was the clutch again and quoted me 2500 to fix it. Needles to say the car is in my driveway and i have a new clutch kit ready to install. Is there anything special i need to know about these cars or is it pretty cut and dry. The only thing i've read so far is the clutch box. Is there a factory TIS sheet floating around?

Are you sure it is the clutch disc itself wornout and not just the slave or other hydraulic related problem? When my old 300turbo had its clutch pedal stuck to the floorboards, it turned out to just be the slave- a easy, cheap repair. clutch disc should last a long time{over 125,000 miles in my Z, and almost exactly 150,000 miles in my G}

G35 unlike G20 [FWD] last 20-50k depending on driver skill and abuse.

Part of High Performance redesign to increase acceleration and parts revenue and dealer income.The peak of Infiniti/Nissan mechanic durability was in mid 90's really down hill after 2000.

Pathetic !!! Pretty soon there will be no advantage to choose a japanese vehicle over a domestic if this is the direction they choose to go.

There hasn't been an advantage since around 1997-2000. Living on previous reputation and cutting costs to stay alive just like the rest.

Nissan tries all the aftermarket tricks to increase HP/aka acceleration and that reduces durability and increases after warranty operating costs.And of course the clutch is not covered for wear and tear.

Hey there Welcome to Nico . Dont't get discouraged by some of these downers. Many people have no issue with new cars. Things are not always as they used to be. It's a fact of reality.

Here is an article from a while back the details exactly how to replace
