Clutch Release bearing sleeve ...please check and help me!

Searched but no luck. 1995 nissan 240sx.
I would like to know if the sleeve that the throwout/ release bearing goes on has a little groove on the inside of it. Unfortunatley it seems like this is getting hungup on the front portion of my manual transmission on the shaft cover before the splines when i push on the clutch and become stuck there. I have pulled the transmission off and have indeed found that this does get stuck. I think the diaphragm on the clutch pressure plate should be strong enough to push the throwout bearing back but this is not happenning. Has someone had an issue with this before? Can someone please check a throwoutbearing sleeve they have laying around and let me know if there is indeed a groove there. Your help is greatly appreciated. I can order one but it takes a few days and I would like to have this car ready to drive asap. Thanks for your help nico
