my clutch failed today :rolleyes . so time to do a clutch job on my car. I plan on resurfacing my fly wheel. I have never done this, do they cut them on a brake lath? I am looking at getting a centerforce clutch, like stage one or something. I cant find much information about the performance of these in the 240, but I have heard good stuff about them in other cars. also, im gona do the throw out bearing. any other seals/bearings that should be replaced while i have my transmission seperated from the engine. thanks

Im runnig a Center Force dual friction in my 96 se and it grabs good im still breaking it in though ive only got about a hundred more miles before i can see what it will really do.If i was you I would make sure I chanced the pilot bearing and make sure you get the right throw out bearing from center force because different years have differend model numbers.

thanks, now im stuck with deciding whether or not to resurface my flywheel, the tech i work with does not recomend it because of the hydrolic clutch.

you should always resurface your flywheel after any clutch job. Even if you dont need it cuz you wouldnt want to take everything out because you didnt want to pay the xtra money to not resurface.
