My trans is making a noise when i let off the clutch to engage in 1st. Kind of a squealing noise and its not always consistent. Sometimes it will do it and sometimes it wont, im pretty sure its rpm dependant, if im in a low enough rpm it wont make any noise if im giving her a bit of gas and ease off the clutch it kind of squeals untill it grabs then nothing. it grabs fine and im not having any slipping im aware of, just curious about the noise. im thinking its the throw out bearing. but id like your opinions on it. if its something easier to replace then thats awesome other wise ill wait to replace it when i actually have a problem besides just a little squealing on occasion. Any thoughts?

I actually have this same problem on my civic. Im not sure what the cause is, but it sounds like a rusty door hinge.
Something similar happened on my MX-6 back in the day and it ended up being the hinge that the clutch pedal was on. Took me forever to figure it out embarrassingly haha. Give that a little grease and see what happens. Im just too lazy to do mine, clutch is almost gone so ill just replace it all when it goes.

Hope i was some sort of help.

I'd start with swapping out the throwout bearing and pilot bushing. Two extremely cheap parts but a pain to get at since it is easiest if you pull the engine/transmission out of the car.
