I have an 93 NA. I'm doing a clutch and rear main seal job soon. I've been looking at clutches and i was wondering if the Nissan OEM is okay or are they're better options. I have a JWT pop charger and a cat back. Thats all the mods. Just wanna get a good clutch thats gonna last me. Thanks in advance. Oh and the clutch master cylinder on there now is from Autozone i think, the PO told me but can't remember. Does that need to be replaced? I bought the Z1 stainless steel full one piece clutch line too, thats already installed. And I read somewhere that the shaft coming out of the master cylinder is shorter or something on the aftermarket ones? I dont know how true that is.

Was the clutch and everything working prior to you taking on this job? Are you just doing it because the clutch started slipping?

Typically, OEM clutches last a pretty good while, and have good pedal feel, but if you're going to be adding much more power, you're better off going aftermarket. Sometimes a "stage 1" clutch kit will actually be cheaper than OEM as well. The aftermarket master should be fine so long as it has enough stroke to disengage the clutch, which shouldn't take much.

well i gotta put a rear main seal in and swap transmissions so i figured itd be a good time to go on and get a clutch job out the way. My throwout bearing occasionally makes noise too

Ok yeah then, if you aren't going to be adding any more power, the stock clutch should be fine (just get a throwout bearing too).

If you liked the way your stock one felt and drove, then there's no sense in deviating from that unless you find something cheaper hah.

we just did a rear main seal, clutch, pressure plate and injectors in my friends 91 z32 and used a LUK clutch and so far its working great and they included a clutch, pressure plate, clutch allignment tool and a throw out bearing and it was like $96 for all of it. I've seen some good reviews on their stuff, but as always do your own research and use whatever you believe will be best.
