Well im in the market for a clutch. Right now I have a ka24e with a 3 inch exhaust, 421 header, test pipe, isis light weight main wheel drive pulley, and a welded diff. Anyways I want to get a clutch that will grab good and not slip. I have heard to get the oem exedy replacement or like a clutchmasters stage 3.

I dont have alot of money and I know the saying you get what you pay for so would I be good with an exedy OEM replacement?

I daily my 240 and daily drift so you guys know

And I id search but there is so many diff answers and I just want a straight forward answer

thanks guys :bigthumb:

exedy oem replacement is decent but its just what it says, basically a stock clutch.
i never liked the stage 3 clutches impossible to feather and make an annoying clunk when engaged.
stick with stage 2, or mild street clutch. thats just me, you may not mind the stge 3....i cant stand em though

For a daily driven car without boost there is no need for a puck disc, unless you just hate yourself.

I'm running a spec stage 2+ clutch and it works great! It has really great street manners and Isn't too terribly expensive.

I rocked that clutchmasters clutch for over a year and put a lot of miles on it, it's a very good clutch for daily driving your car and if you want to let loose some times. I'd recommend it if you need one right a way and are short on cash at the moment.

If all you have is bolt-ons and you're on a budget, why are you thinking about ANYTHING other than a stock replacement of some sort? Do you plan to turbocharge in the near future? if no then you have no need for a heavy performance clutch. Save your cash and your trouble.

oh and btw...

[insert old cliche'd rant about not drifting on the street here]

carry on

I like Spec and Exedy. I run spec. Spec has the plus series which is a Stage 2,3,4,5,6 clutch but the plus give a more stock pedal feel. a stage 2+ should be perfect.
