clutch question!!!!!!

i just got a new clutch installed. its a stock oem replacement clutch for my 91 nissan 240. i just got it back and it feels extremely soft. and even sometimes it doesnt even come back up when i switch gears it will just stay to where right before it engages. really weird.HELP!!!!!!

sombody did something wrong when installing the clutch. pressure plate is not properly installed ,T/O bearing is not properly installed. something along those lines is not right and it is hanging up. that would be my guess by your description.

do u think it could be the clutch i bought?

if installed properly even a bad clutch wont stop the pedal from coming back,or the clutch to one minute engage and the next not.

it always engages but it doesent come back up all the way sometimes and i have to tuck my foot under the pedal and pull it back up.

if it is not slipping and you can drive the car normal with the pedal half way down I would say you have a hydrolic problem then.. your system needs to be checked for leaks and blead properly. which can be a pain in the a** to do.

I had this problem a while back also. The valve in the Clutch Master Cylinder had gone bad. The rebuild kit cost $16 at Kragens which was basically a new valve and seals. After I put it in the pedal returned to a crisp feel and didnt stay at the ground every few times I pushed it down anymore.
