Okay so I made the mistake of buying a used clutch last year and at first it worked fine but this year when I tried to drive the car after 15-20 minutes of driving I can rev but the car wont move. So I came home and did the old 4th gear test. I stopped after a drive, put the car in 4th and let out the clutch to find out the car stays on and doesnt stall! so I knew my clutch was toast.

anyways I took the clutch out and this is how it looks.

here is the pressure plate(sorry I suck at taking pics :D)

now I believe and the people I've shown this to believe the disc is done but the pressure plate is reusable and I want more opinions on the matter.

by the way this is a nismo 350z clutch disc and pressure plate. its being used on a ka-t with a rb20 flywheel.

ya the pressure plate has some hot spots on it because of the clutch disc(the disc is much worse! but even a tech I showed it to said the PP looks fine less the hot spots.

I took the safe route and ordered another clutch kit!

I was looking inside the transmission today and I found out there is a leak at the plate behind the input shaft! I think what happened is the transmission leaked all over my clutch/pressure plate!

Here are the pics.

they are upside down. this is actually at the bottom of the bellhousing where it meets the engine hence why I thought it was comin from the motor.

I wonder how easy it would be to replace that gasket?

just take a look in the fsm and see if anything is gonna fall out when you take it off... if it looks cool go for it.

did what you said . looks like there is a gasket and a seal behind there. put the order for both, will have them tomorrow then its transmission rebuilding time!
