i drove my car and my clutch felt weird, relized it wasnt rising up from the floor as much as the time i drove it before, checked the clutch fluid resevoir and it was 1/4th full, so i filled it up. problem didnt go away. thought it was the clutch slave cylinder and was gunna get a nismo slave but then i heard if it was that id be leaking fluid from the oem slave, checked the resevoir 2 days later, still full..... so its not the slave? idk if its gunna help but if not its still a good upgrade anyway, i orderd a nismo steel braided clutch line THANKS!

why is my clutch pedal not rising up, before there was a good amount of resistance all the way down to the floor, now its jus free play till 1/2 way down, little resistance 3/4ths and then normal resistance 4/4 and when i release it rises up half way then slowly rises up a little then pops all the way back up... weird...

bleed it, then adjust the rod from your pedal to the CMC, sometimes it can be finicky getting it to feel "just right"

Bleeding the slave is very easy, just google it and you will find tons of write ups and maybe even videos on how to do it

and you should remove the clutch damper and hardlines too, its easy, cheap, and worth it..

Yeah, it's the same procedure as bleeding brakes. Might as well remove the dampener because it makes the job harder than it needs to be, and does almost nothing for the car.

Not sure what a clutch damper is/where its at but why would i need to bleed my clutch if i never ran out of fluid?

Why not? Trying to solve a problem, go through all the easy stuff first before buying parts. You could have a leak somewhere, which caused your fluid level to drop. Air would get in through that leak.

the damper is very easy to remove

if you want to do it properly, get this conversion line, it runs directly from the CMC to the Slave cyl, removing all the hardlines in between.

also simply google s13 clutch damper, it will come up... or look in my build, i have some pics of when i did this to my s13.

could also be the return spring on the pedal, but more likely you didnt bleed the clutch enough.

@ badbob, wount the nismo steel braided clutch line i bought delete the damper ? or its still an option to keep it or get rid of it even after the steel braided line? anyway i found a write up on how to remove the damper but with getting out of work everyday after dark and not having a garage to work in, im just going to get my clutch line installed next time i go to my shop n get my pulleys installed. also i was going to post another topic but maybe i should just mention it in here..? why do people mix and match cam shafts? i was going to go with tomei poncams, a lower stage camshaft just for low rpm power..? but now ive realized people mix n match and i wanna find out everything i can to make sure i order the rite cams.. thanks

If you bought a stainless steel braided line, when you install it, just plug it straight to the slave. Then you can easily unbolt the damper and take out all hard lines.

There is a rubber line that runs from the damper to the slave, you will take this one off of the slave, and install your steel braided one.
