So I have a fairly new clutch. Spec stage 2 with stock sr flywheel. Probably 600-800 miles on it. Whenever I burnout or drift from first gear it shakes side to side but doesn't pop out. Not used to this and fairly new to the 240's. Also in my 4th gear when I accelerate it vibrates ( very noticeable )
Any suggestions?

Strange, and it all started when you put the new clutch in?
It almost sounds like your U-joints are going bad on the driveshaft or something.

For real. I know it's not the clutch because I put it on correctly and adjusted the pedal. It doesn't go into gear smoothly. I'm thinking new transmission. Not too expensive but would like to know if it's something simple before I do that haha

Does it go into gears smoothly when the engine isn't running?

Did the trans slip into/marry to the engine smoothly? Its possible you could have shifted the clutch disk upon installation and messed it up a bit.

Yeah when reinstalling it went on easy. And when the cars off it goes in smoother than when it's on but can still feel it. Not as smooth as it should be.. Also all gears are having heavier vibration than before.

If it goes in smoother when its off, it sounds like you aren't fully disengaging your clutch, or your synchros are bad. Can you adjust the clutch pedal to get more travel and/or try pumping the clutch to shift gears? Also try double-clutching. Clutch in, take it out of gear (to N), clutch out, clutch back in, put it in gear, clutch out. If the latter works, your synchros could be bad.

Did you put some kind of weird gear oil in after changing the clutch? Are you sure you put in the proper amount?

I put motul 70w 90 2 1/2 quarts. When I double clutch it does shift smoother. If a trans sits for a few weeks without oil still in it could that cause a problem?

No, that shouldn't cause a problem so long as there was still film in there... meaning you didn't rinse the thing out with solvent or something.
