So for a while now lately, like 3 months, sometimes when I go out to start my car in the morning and it would't want to go into gear. The pedal would feel super stiff, and I would just push it all the way in, and slam it into gear, and the problem would stop for the rest of the drive. The pedal would feel normal again.

But it would only do it randomly. I wouldn't be every time I started it. It would only do it every once in a while.

This morning I started the car normally it didn't have any problems and I drove over to get my ticket signed off at the police station. When I finished at the station I went to start my car and the clutch pedal had that hard feeling again, but this time I couldn't slam it in gear.

When I would slam it in gear the car would jump and stall out. And it kept doing it.

When I turn the car off it goes through all the gears just fine.

What do you guys thinks going on here? I don't want to just start replacing stuff thats not needed.

No he said stiff pedal. Clutch master cylinder feals soft to nothing. I bet you pull the clutch and havr a clutch spring jammed between the disc and pressure plate. I've seen it on cheap or oem kragen clutch kits.

slide up under the car and have a buddy work the clutch pedal while you look at the slave. if the slave moves like it should, about an inch and a half to two inches, than your clutch is bad, if it wont move or wont move much than its either your master or slave.

yea the slave moves about an inch when I press it in. But why would the clutch just all of a sudden go like that?

the spring in the clutch probably came out. hence the all the sudden part. pull the clutch inspection plate. you might be lucky and see something in there.
