Hey guys I'm having a little trouble with my clutch for some reason when i depress the clutch the clutch it does not release. i usually have to reach down there with my foot and pull it back out. this really only happens though when i keep the clutch depressed for long periods of time and acts fine when im cruising along. i just replaced the slave cylinder and gravity bled the clutch and im still having problems and it is very annoying. and also to i am not loosing any fluid.

Please leave me a response and tell me what you think!!

im not too good with these things but since no1 has responded yet ill throw u my 2 cents. I would check the spring in the clutch pedal, see if it has the same problem when the car is not running. Also your throwout bearing, maybe its goin bad or gettin old.

Like I said im not a pro or anything, just some things that would come across my mind if I had that problem.

well i appreciate you trying to help though. ive heard that there is no spring though because it is a hydraulic clutch though. do you know if that is true? yeah i havent checked the throw out bearing but im hoping thats not the case. i really hope so because i dont have the money to replace the whole clutch.

There is two bleed points for the clutch one under the car and the other under the hood, and both need to be bled properly which is alot easier when you have a friend to help push the peddle in well you loosen the nipple to bleed it. If that doesn't work since you replaced the slave already it is likely the master cylinder.

Left side when standing at the front you can see it on my car here before I deleted it on the far left side above the headlight there.

thanks dude i really appreciate you putting that pic on there. i see it though to the left of the powersteering resivour, but sadly my car is all rigged up and i think someone before me took it out. they put a straight line from the slave cylinder to the clutch resivour. oh yeah and by the way nice engine very clean. tt or na?

Yup paying the guy tomorow for my swap.

matt38111-If it's eliminated it's actually a good thing, thats what I did to mine as well though it's usually done when someone does a auto to manual swap. If you only have the one bleed point I would say try bleeding it again with a friend to help. Have him pump it several times and then hold the pedal down well you open it up underneath. If after a few times that doesnt work I would say your master cylinder is the issue.

yeah ive tried over and over again to bleed from the slave cylinder and still my clutch is not right. so i guess it is the master cylinder. well thanks for the advice hopefully that will fix it. i have one more question though would you know where to find a repair manual for a z32? ive looked everywhere and all i can find is that online crap.

Don't know of any for the z in printed form that would come close to the online fsm.

Here are some really good write up's but none that would probably help directly with what you need.

Here is a useful write up for adjusting your clutch pedal properly as well.

just so you guys know it was just the master cylinder. so if anyone else has the problem thats most likely the case.
