Ok i've had this car for about a weak now, and the clutch seemd ok to me, but this being my first car and all, I didn't really have much to compare it to. But after making some runs tonight and picking up the finer points of rev matching and all that, and from the words of others who drove it, the clutch feals "spongey" and it doesn't feal like it's slipping to them, but it also doesnt feal like it's engaging right. They said it could possibly be that there was air someplace in the fluid, or that the throwout bearing could be bad (a friend with that problem said it was making the same noise as his)...and example would be on the way home we were ****ing around and had a 5th gear battle from a rolling like 40...so we both go and being the super cool guy I am I try and double clutch it, so it revs up and i dump it back in and it sits there at like 4500 RPM, dies to maybe 4300, then starts to climb and it hits 5k..I was no going 100...that's when i let off. It was like it wanted to engage but the clutch said **** YOU and decided against it. Any ideas?

possibly a pressure plate problem. bleed the system and recheck it.
