hey guys, I got a 89 fastback with a brand new oem clutch and resurfaced flywheel. I'm having trouble engauging and dis-engauging my clutch. I've re-blead it 2 times but everytime it still loses pressure or on'y pops back up half-way, is this signs for a new slave cyclinder? I have no leaks on the clutch lines either, this is pissing me off and upseting me haha, the bleeder screw on the damping box is broken but no leaks, can anyone help me?

Your'e supposed to replace the slave cylinder w/ clutch changes. Sounds like that is your problem. Get a OEM one and a SPL clutch line.

seriously make sure you tightened down all your flywheel bolts i have seen them back out into the friction plate... if you didn't have problems before the replacement i doubt it is the master or the slave, you are supposed to replace them preventively, anyways, vaccuum bleed it if you can, if your damper box coupler deal is busted, replace it. if it still doesn't work, make sure the clutch isn't binding and teh fork/throwout bearing is straight

By the time these cars get a clutch done, the slave cylinder is well on its way out. It's a cheap part and should always be done as part of the whole job because it almost always goes bad right after the clutch is replaced or 50-100miles down the road.

9/10 times when people get their clutch done the dampener box causes so many issues w/ the bleeding process resulting in air in the lines/poor pedal pressure etc. Bypassing the dampener box is highly recommended.

Yes. You will have to bend one of the hardlines going to the box *slightly* to hook it up directly to the slave. I hope the slave your'e getting from Napa is something with a warranty, I've had bad luck with American reman'd master and slave cylinders so I just go with Nissan OEM.
