Slave almost always goes before the master; when water gets into the lines, it sinks to the bottom (the slave/operational cylinder) and pools there, eventually rusting it out from the inside.
It could also be the clutch booster on a TT.
Completely empty the system and flush it through with about 500ml of dot4 synthetic brake fluid, then proceed to bleed it until the clutch is FIRM (
http://www.zparts.com/zptech/articles/m ... l#bleeding). then readjust your clutch pedal to ensure you're clutch has enough free-play to allow fluid back into the reservoir upon full release (

If after all this you still get abnormal clutch performance, you're probably looking at a bad clutch booster (

hopefully this will get you back to normal -- shouldn't take much more than an hour to do the first 2 steps, the clutch booster however is a more troublesome diagnosis.
