clutch problemm! help..!!

when i turn on my car the clutch feels as if its not working i have to push it all the way in and it feels soft
i have to pump it like 10 times before it can catch a gear. IT WILL NOT GRAB THE GEAR WITHOUT DOING THAT..
ive tried to force it in gear alittle once and heard some grinding noisee
what can it be.??
wat can i do about it.??

also i was on the freeway bout 7 miles away from my house going about 60mph on 5th gear as i started to see some light smoke alittle less smoke then a lit cigarette barley noticable but was there=[

Do you have brake fluid in your clutch master cylinder?

blah-.- noo thought it was full but its not its empty.....

wat exactly should i feeeel it up with.?? anything specific.??

i should prob loook for a leak huh.? or is it normall.??

Dot-3 Brake fluid.

Check your clutch master cylinder and the slave located at the bottom of the transmission.

It could be a slow leak, refill and go drive and check. This will give you time to save? lol

The Clutch master cylinder is only like 20bucks at autozone.

oh and since you have a s13, if you have a aftermarket clutch, remove the damper box. Its supposed to take the pressure of the clutch system but it really doesn't help us.

Remove Dampener Box, Adjust Clutch Pedal, Fill Clutch Master Cylinder, Bleed Line.
