clutch problem?

i got a 95 SE DOHC KA24DE.

so when i clutch in my rpms just drop to 0 and the car dies out. No idea why.. felt like a jackass when i was driving to work and my car just died out at the stoplight.

Oh this is usually only when im depressing the clutch while the car is in gear. like if i was going to a stop sign and i just held down the clutch.
