were you working on the car, and now the clutch wont work properly?First check your clutch fluid resevoir and see if its full.Check for leaks at your slave cylinder, its on the passenger side of the transmission. check the lines for leaks, sounds like a leak or air in the clutch line.

I was having trouble with this but instead of slowly up the pedal would only come 1/2 way up, I replaced slave, and put on stainless clutch line, also the most important in my case was the fluid was water(got brake fluid in my eye and I can still see, also there was no burning) the 3 piece combo fixxed my problem but I think the factory rubber line had givven up and let alot of air in,I could bleed the fluid(in my case it was water black water) and it would stop till about 3 hard shifts then bam right back
