clutch problem?

Car: 1990 240sx

whenever i stop at a light or stop sign (not moving at all), pull it out of gear and let out the clutch.. when i put the clutch back in and try to go into first, it has a grinding sound, but it is only in first and only when i am fully stopped... if i am coasting and i go into first then it doenst happen, i was just wondering what this was... any help is appreciated, thanks in advanced

sounds like it might be number one syncro going out.
