I had my clutch adjusted when I first bought my car at the Nissan dealership. When I first bought the car the clutch let up very high and created a leg workout for me.
So after my clutch was adjusted by the dealership I drove my altima for a day and the feel of the clutch was excellent. It engaged right away and felt very crisp. But the second day the clutch became a “spring loaded pedal” When I say that I mean that when the clutch starts to engage it snaps up at me and would make it very hard to drive. I took the car into the dealership and they said they bled the clutch line and no air came out. The clutch seemed to be fine again. But after driving the altima for another day the clutch became a spring loaded clutch again and when it started to engage the clutch would snap up again. The snapping of the clutch makes it almost impossible to drive and not very enjoyable. I have taken it twice to dealership and they do don’t crap. My new altima has 2k miles on it and the dealership says they “fixed” the problem but my clutch is only good for a day and then it returns back to a clutch that when it starts engaging it snaps or springs up and is very hard to control.
I will have to go to the dealership for third time and this is pissing me off. As I look at the clutch pedal I see two springs on the top of the pedal. Could this be my problem that the springs on top of the pedal have too much tension on them? Once I let the clutch out about an inch the pedal snaps up – this happens when the car is off or on.
Question:What is the problem with all of the sudden the spring loaded clutch? (Before I even had the clutch adjusted the first time this never happened)
Thanks for your help!
