I just recently bought a 1991 Nissan 240sx fully stock great shape and interior but I had to replace the fuel pump and it starts right up, but the clutch doesnt seem to be working at all. I try to engage it but it is very hard to push down and does not work it stays in neutral it seems like. What other things can be wrong with the clutch besides teh slave cylinder?

master cylinder as well, or possibly improper install of the throwout bearing, etc. What do you mean "it says in neutral it seems like" when you put the car into different gears, the shifter goes into that gate. Does it do that or no?

Yeah me and my buddy went to go and drop in a new clutch and when we started unpluging all of the wires to the trainie and got to the slave cylinder we realized that it was totally seized and that was the problem lol the car runs great and hauls even for a sohc my next question though is do you think I should drop in a ka24 dohc or a sr20det engine? I know the ka24 is a 2.4 vs the sr20's 2.0 but ive heard that in the end the sr20 puts out more power, what do you think is the best route to go, price and power wise?

SR vs. KA threads seem to spark holy wars here. Each one has their good points and is something you should look into and say "hey that's not me" "oh crap that's me in a nutshell!" when you do your research on the topic. Each engine can be quite potent with a good amount of tuning. Depends on what you're looking for. There's a "search" button to help you along with that research.
