your car should be covered bumper to bumper for the first 36 mos or 36k miles, beyond that most likely not, and a TO nbearing makes noise when you press the pedal and stops when you let off, yours is the opposite, I've seen a few that have had springs come out of the d!ck on stock clutches, unless you are over miles or modified the dealer should take care of it

haha^ yeah iv been busy with school, family, and this damn clutch problem has really got me worried.... idk what the heck it could be... could it be the slave cyl. not properly working??? The guy at the dealer that told me it wasnt under warranty if it was a clutch problem, he also said that any nismo part is covered under warranty... even the rtune parts... so idk how much this guy knows... but rmezz have u been to that dragon road thingy? iv heard about it but not much... wondering how it is?

I think I remember a thread about this awhile ago. Didn't someone say it was just clutch chatter due to the dual mass clutch?

If it is a faint little rattle when the car is idling and your foot is off the clutch, but goes away every time you engage the clutch, then i know exactly what your talking about. Ive mainly seen it on 04 and older manual VQ's.My car makes it,my buddies car makes it, and my other friends g35 makes it. If yours is the same noise, you have nothing to worry about. although if there was somthing wrong,it is not covered under warranty, unless you can prove it has nothing to do with normal wear and tear and/or it is a factory defect.

you may want to double check, but i believe nismo parts are not covered under warranty, even if they install them.

Now i'm thinking your good if its the noise we all have.... its just a noisy little car. I always think somethings wrong with it, but nothing ever is.... which is why i think i'm going to get some of that sound mat stuff... adds weight but people say its definitely worth it.

Tail of the Dragon - i haven't been yet, but my cousin went last summer on his bike, and my brothers friend has been there too. They say its awesome, but i bet this time of year its so freaking busy with fuddy duddy people in the way its probably not worth it. Late Fall would probably be ideal with the beautiful scenery you would have driving through the hills. I'd like to go this year.

well as for the nismo parts and warranty i hear these: 1. if its r-tuned parts its not covered but s-tune parts are (r-tune= race tune and S-tune= street tune), 2. doesnt matter if its r or s tune if its made by nismo it doesnt void warranty (the head mechanic in charge at the dealer told me this, but then again i think hes a DA), 3. Any after market part nismo or not will void warranty. 4. it has to be installed by a certified nissan mechanic or it will void warranty. So which is true???? Becuase if all parts void warranty and no matter who installs it, i will not worry bout keeping my warranty.... but if nismo parts do not void it then ill do nismo for now.... so anyone have any personal experience?

About the noise- it is exactly what redsx13 described.... but sometimes its louder than other times... and when i turn the car off it rattles alot worse.... still the same thing and nothing to worry bout?

Yeah the tail of the dragon.. thats it! i really want to go there, think it would be a great car adventure.... where is it at? if its not to to far away i might take a drive there this fall.....

they cannot void your warranty unless they are directly connected to the problem (i.e. the source of the problem). Nismo or not, but yes S-Tune parts are still warranty but if you buy an injen intake then your intake is not under warranty, and if you buy Nismo S-Tune and you want it to be under warranty the dealer has to install it, but the car is still under warranty-the parts are too if they are Nismo S-Tune..... get it?

Tail of the Dragon is like border of Tennessee & N.Carolina.... I looked it up once, i think the beginning is in N.C. and the end is in TN...

Did you get yours replaced or were you just checking to see what was wrong?

Ok, I called my Nissan dealership. Turns out there is an outstanding recall for the Slave cylinder. I'm going to take her in on Monday and Pick her up tuesday.

Hopefully this fixes that weird noise!

I'll report back on tuesday, hopefully.
