just recently the clutch has lost all pressure when i push it in. cant start the car in 1st gear with the clutch pressed in. the weird thing is once i start the car (in neutral) and wait a min or so, its ok. but the engagement point is literally .25 inches off the floor. drive it for a few more min's, and it starts to go back to the "original spot" which is still lower than what it used to be. what could be causing this? Thanks

not positive but thinking cluth master cylinder. I'd of course rule out fluid related issues first.

alright, so checked the fluid, was none, so added. still nada, found a leak in the clutch fork pusher-thing. (very technical, i know) so off to fix that tomorrow

yep that'd prolly do it. like brakes leaks introduce air into the system. Air compresses where fluid wont. Naturally this causes all sorts of bad things to happen.

you have fluid in the manual transmission case right? beyond fluid related issues I have no idea. When a clutch fails usually there is a lot of smoke involved so it doesn't sound to me like the clutch itself is bad. It still sounds like fluid too me.

so it turns out, i didnt know how to properly bleed the system. therefore, TONS of air inside every possible inch of the line. borrowed one of those vacuum thingy's and now everything works.
