i have a 93 240 coupe ka24de drift missle w/ stage 3 spec clutch and a few weeks ago while driving it the clutch pedal started to pulsate(actually kicking my foot back) and the transmission started making a grinding/banging noise while trying to shift then a few days later the car became almost impossible to shift into gear while running (BTW the transmission had always made a whining noise and the synchroes were rough since it was brought a few months ago). i got another transmission to solve the whining problem hoping that i could also fix the pulsating clutch pedal , i know that usually when the pedal pulsates its usually a loose/broken presure plate or flywheel but they looked fine when i changed the transmission. now since i changed the transmission the clutch pedal feels like it has no pressure behind it, it returns back to the top when released but has no feed back and wont disengage the clutch and let me put it in gear while running. also there is fluid in the master cylinder and it is not leaking, the slave cylinder moves the clutch fork like normal and i can see through the dust cover for the fork that when the clutch is pushed in the TOB contacts the pressure plate. wtf could this be? did i install something wrong or something?

It may be contacting the pressure plate, but is it pressing enough to actually disengage? Here's a link to the 240SX FSM sets. Check to see if the slave cylinder is moving the required amount. It may be pushing, but possibly not far enough.

there is a nut on a threaded rod behind the clutch pedal for adjustment..try adjusting it and see if you get more release from it..if you dont..then we will go from there
