well after changing the a brand new clutch slave/master cylinder my clutch pedal still doesnt come all teh way up on its own. its not as bad as b4 but atleast not i can shift gears. im planning on getting a whole new clutch kit next week,. i also heard that the throwout bearing/pilot bushing can cause this. what do u guys think?

it still seems like it has air in it? are you sure its bled fully? also do you know that vaccuum box that everybody removes? if you havent removed that go ahead and remove it..your T.O. bearing if bad will make a grinding type of noise when engaging..there is an adjustment on the pedal to adjust the height but if it is not coming up due to air in the line than thats not it..if its just not coming up high enough but there is no air then play with that

of course i removed that dreaded dampning box, and when i engage that clutch it sqeaks at the transmission if that means anything. oh and also when im driving when i hit the clutch i heard somthin grinding in teh transmission sometimes maybe its teh to bearing

when you push in your clutch pedal you hear a squeaking everytime from inside the transmission? and a grinding? you shouldve replaced your TO bearing when you did the clutch..search on nico..type in throwout bearing and see what people say that may be the problem..also that sig is freaky

Try adjusting the shaft left of the MC. I had a similar problem, the pedal wasn't coming up high enough, nor was it letting me shift gears because the slave wasn't fully disengaging the PP. I lengthened the MC shaft, moved the arm and stop nut away from the firewall more and viola I had an operational clutch and pedal...

when the 240sx came out they made the manuals easier for women to operate (clutch engaging) by installing a dampener box under the car which made the clutch pedal softer. By removing this box it makes the pedal somewhat harder..it is located on the passenger side of the car, under the car between the front and back wheel near the slave cylinder..it is a little box with hardlines running to and from it..just remove the hole system..bypass it

Take the box out and you will have two hard lines hanging..one from the SC and one from the MC..hook them together and call it a day

i got'er done. i ever so slowly bent the line and it did it with no creases or problems whatsoever. i even reused the mounting bracket on tied it down to the frame. i do however, understand what you are talking about and would have done so had i'd checked this a bit earlier. thanks
