ever since I replaced throw out bearing I noticed that my clutch does not remain soft instead it gets soft thru bleeding a slave cylinder bleeder srew then it gradually gets stiff so stiff that piston from slave cylinder does move at all on throw out bearing plate unless you bleed it and gradually that will get stiff as well so stiff that when put transmission in gear car does move when in 1 st gear, sometimes when guning it the damn clutch just slips. someone please help [email protected]

Did you just replace the throw out bearing, or the entire clutch? Did you bleed the master cylinder as well? Did you make sure there was nothing binding on the input shaft or on the clutch itself?

Might be time to replace the slave and master cylinders.

To be totally honest with you, I am not sure if there is interchangablity between Nissan master/slave cylinders.

I recently replaced both master and operating cylinders with ones purchased from AutoZone. Pretty reasonable. I used NAPA DOT5 (silicone) brake fluid. Worked out pretty well. My second choice for fluid would be the synthetic stuff sold everywhere ... made by Valvoline.

On my model ('93 pup) there is a pressure snubber device in the hydraulic line, mounted to the firewall. This gadget has to be bled also. Don't know if your model has this item ... but I'd bet so.
