I have a 95 240, and I am in the middle of an RB swap, just gathering all the needed parts...but one question that I have is I acquired a clutch pedal and master cylinder off of an 89 240, does anyone know if that is year specific??do I need on off of a 95-97?

I don't think it is year specific because I have a 97 and got the clutch pedal off of a 93 or so S13.

it is year specific, the s13 clutch pedal has no spacers on the mount and the s14 has them built in and the clutch master on the s13 has a shorter rod then the s14 clutch master does. i bought a brand new s14 clutch pedal assy. from the nissan dealer and you just have to piece it together, youll need the bracket, the pedal arm, and spring and it cost around $100 for a brand new one and ive seen people overpay for the same thing but used on ebay. but if you already have the s13 clutch pedal you have to use washers between the firewall and clutch pedal until upper clutch pedal bracket bolt hole lines up with the bolt hole under the dash. and go from there, i just choped my at brake pedal and bought an oem brake pedal pad and put it on there and it looks stock.

I didn't have to shim the S13 clutch pedal into place on my S14 to get the bolt holes to line up. Picked mine up from the junk yard for free and haven't had any problems with it.

Chopping the brake pedal? Are you talking about your A/T pedal?

Yea i just cut and trimed down the pedal down to size to where an oem rubber manual brake pedal pad could fit so it looks oem .

I tried the R33 pedal that came off my clip and an S13 pedal that was laying around , neither worked. If I remember correctly the s13 pedal was at the wrong angle and hit the floor before hitting the bump stop.

ended up witn an S14 pedal

I tried the R33 pedal too and that was what happened with that. Didn't have the required travel to fully operate the slave.
