clutch pedal problems with 86 300zx

ok i just baught this car like a day ago and they said they think that either the slave cylinder or the master cylinder was bad i replaced the slave and that wasnt it .....but the problem is if i pump this sh** out of it for like 20 mins i got a clutch i can use for maybe 2 take offs then no clucth pressure.. at all so would that be the master cylinder or is there some other problem that accures with these things ive never owned one before but any help would be appreciated.....thanks alot

sounds like the clutch master cylinder is a goner, not a big deal it's easy to replace, some of the Z31's had a wierd little proportioning valve thingy that was supposed to damen the pedal feel not sure what happenes if that goes, but your sounds like a leak or just a lack of pressure, and if you already replaced the cslave adn blean the system I think you would have spotted a leak so next step is the master and it's not too expensive

ok i baught and replaced the master cylinder i had to let them self blled cause the bleeder valve on the slvae broke...lol but they blead out pretty well and i got pressure now i can move the car and its fine but the pedal still dont feel right u wouldnt now wut the adjustment for the pedal should be would u?

dude, if the bleeder is broken, spend a coupla bucks and replace the slave as well, you'll never get all the air out without the bleeder, I read too quickly and assumed that you already replaced the slave, you need to get that bugger swapped out as well

oh i did replace the slave the new ones bleeder broke.....but i just let it self bleed anough to get the car home from were i baught it at and my new slave comes in on wednesday so im going to swap it and bleed em but even though i didnt get to bleed it that well it got me home pretty good...
