I just rebuild my engine KA24DE for 92 240SX. It runs great but I can't get the clutch to disengage. I think I might have installed the fork wrong in the transmition when I was replacing the clutch and need help figuring out whether or not I need to pull off the transmition to fix it.

I am trying to bleed the clutch right now, but the clutch pedal has no resistance at all. I replaced the clutch slave cylinder and I seemed to have gotten all of the air out of the clutch lines. The slave cylinder actuator is pushed in all the time and I can't move the fork to let it out. Is that the problem? I tried moving the fork but it seems to be stuck. Any suggestions are greately apperciated.

So when you go down below, and someone hits the clutch pedal, the slave cylinder tries to extend, yes? If so, then yeah you're in for a pulling the transmission. Otherwise I'd say you got fluid passing by.

try using a pry bar around the clutch fork. If you can get it to move then your looking at a bleeding problem somewhere between the master and the slave. If not, then you will more than likely have to pull the transmission and redo the throwout installation.

Good luck

Thanks guys. I looked at it closer and it looks like the fork is slightly crooked. I have already started taking off the transmition. We will see what it is.
