I bought a used OEM S14 Clutch pedal, tell me if this is normal or what it is supposed to do.

When i compress the pedal it compresses about 2 inches then slams down all the way, the pedal is not installed, is this normal?? it has a coil spring that pushes it up once it is on the way up and the same spring pulls it down hard on the way down, it's like a toggle switch almost... Is it supposed to be like this??

Yes.

It's won't "slam all the way down" when it is installed and pushing the piston in the master clutch cylinder.

It also pulls out the piston so that's why it springs back out.

No problem...

Also take some sand paper/steel wool to that thing and get the rust off and then paint it red or something cool .
