Everytime I push the clutch down its fine but when I let the pedal up it makes a popping noise what could cause this and how might I go about fixing it?

What kind of clutch is it? Only when driving or it happens everytime you hit the clutch?

First question is where is the noise coming from?

If it's from down near the pedal, and happens when you release, and sounds like a rubbing popping sound, most likely it's that coiled spring that pushes the clutch pedal back up. Just rub some heavy grease in between the coils and it should be fine.

I had this problem...adjust the free play at the shaft.

I had that problem too. Look at where the end of the spring hooks onto the pedal. There should be a plastic bushing between the metal pedal and the spring. Mine was cracked and a chunk of it was missing.

For me it was the pin at the center of the pedal it still comes back after a week of greasing it though
