clutch pedal on floor...

i just got a 240 5-speed. the car as given to me and it runs fine except for one tiny little thing.... the clutch pedal is ON the floor! I replaced the slave cylinder and bled the system... no luck. the pressure plate arm seems to be almost all the way extended and i see no type of return spring to pull it back. what all should i look for?

Is there a lot of play in the pressure-plate arm?? if there is then it might be your clutch or your throw-out bearing. New clutch if that is the case.
